When the wind is swirling the snowflakes all around us, we can’t see how beautifully the individual flakes are formed, but thanks to a newcomer to the Pasty Cam today, Elizabeth Chosa and her close-up photography skills, we get to stop and see snowflakes in all their intricate glory. It’s kind of like stopping to smell the roses, we’re reminded with Elizabeth’s photos to slow down and really notice the snowflakes around us. Pretty amazing, aren’t they? From the tiniest to the largest, each one is uniquely different and you can even pick out the separate flakes that are stacked upon other flakes. I’m sure there’s a scientific explanation for how snowflakes are formed in these artistic shapes or maybe they’re just a gift from above. Either way, just like the line from the song says, ”...Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes...these are a few of my favorite things.”

Just in case you haven’t heard, Visit Keweenaw is with us today, to let us know that ‘Winter is Here’!

Beautiful pics!

Stunning pictures! I have tried this too but without as much success as Elizabeth. Using a red background really makes the pictures 'pop' and shows off the detail of the snowflakes.

The UP Oscars ! It took me a a while to walk the red carpet and I’d

like to thank my parents, my plastic surgeon my dog,…….

Nice pix but, it’s a Doan’s after watching that video.

Those flakes are stunning, and they say "No two are
alike". Just imagine...with all the snow the US has
seen this past week....NO flakes match? Beyond
wild!!

I have a red snowflake blanket that is
always on my chair. So pretty and so pretty.
You have to wonder how none can be a repeat.
The wonders of winter.

The video was cool.

I'm imagining trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle made out of one of those snowflake pictures . . . I'd be carted off to Happydale For Tilted People before I could finish!
