Taana Blom was out one evening last week, testing out her new phone with some night time shots. Her first one is looking across the Portage Canal at the lights of Hancock. Check out the reflections of the lights in the water...outstanding, especially the colored ones. Another reflection photo of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge today, too. The wavy lines make it quite unique, don’t you think?
Then Taana heads back home and snaps a shot of her Dad’s footprints going out to the barn. She said after having surgery it compromised his sciatic nerve, so now he can’t feel his right leg which makes his footprints a bit different and interesting. The barn shots are nice and bright, I’m not sure if that’s from the new phone camera or if there is a yard light brightening the scenes. And check out the Buoy light from the Lower Entry, I’m guessing the Coast Guard Cutter hasn’t collected that one yet or maybe it is one that stays where it is for the winter months. I have no idea.
"An EPIC Winter Day" Exploring Michigan's Upper Peninsula.. a short film by Tim Connor about a Winter day spent exploring Upper Michigan's rugged terrain and Lake Superior. It’s what we’re watching today!

Thanks for the great shots Taana! The footprints out to the barn tell a story!
Remember Pearl Harbor! So many good documentaries on today about the attack and America's response.

Great pics...I'm so sorry about that sciatica...that hurts...and hurting ain't fun. It's so hard to be in a good mood, or even around people when you don't feel good....
The video is epic....that explains a Yooper pretty darn well~
