Jeff Dennis is always up for an adventure and so is his wife, Chris. They take us, along with Fritz, for a kayak ride to check out the Copper Harbor Lighthouse and grounds there. The view from the water is always the classic and most popular scene, but nice to see the displays, like the propeller from the Steamer Scotia, which hit a reef off the Keweenaw Point and broke in two in 1884. All aboard were saved, but suffered hardship for over two days without shelter. Neat to see the walkway from the water up to the Lighthouse, too.

The video Jeff made gives us an ‘almost’ live view of the surroundings of the Lighthouse, complete with the seagulls conversing in their excited calls.

Alex...I must have been a bit confused, also, because it should have said, "Kayaker FRITZ"! I still had Finn on the brain from Uncle Chuck's photos, I guess! Jeff's pooch is Fritz...my apologies for misidentifying such a four legged star!

We took the lighthouse tour many years ago and i think they identified the stone building as the original lighthouse keeper's home. It was in quite the state of disrepair back then.
