We have two guest Pasty Camists today. First off is Patrick Hugener from Head in the Clouds Photography who is saying Good Morning with a beautiful sunrise photo from Powell Lake in Wetmore, MI. Such a peaceful scene to start out any day with.

The second shot is from Jeff Dennis who’s saying Good Night to us all with a shot of the biggest full moon of 2022. This was taken out at Little Traverse here in the Keweenaw and known as the Buck SuperMoon, Thunder Moon or Hay Moon. It’s the third SuperMoon in a row and there will be one more in August. According to Space.com, SuperMoons occur when the full moon coincides with the moon’s closest approach to Earth in its orbit, known as perigee.

Patrick Hugener also has a hazy sunrise video for us, to compliment our sunrise/sunset duo of photos. This sunrise won’t disappoint, either.

I like sunsets. I remember many a good time at a
beach fire, watching the sun set out by the Mackinac
bridge (yes, technically we are on the sunrise side,
but our section of northern Lake Huron beach points
north and west). A big beautiful moon like in the
picture would have come up behind us.
