The Houghton County Fair took place this past weekend and from the looks of today’s photos, it was a big hit with the kiddos. We start with a trio of photos from Brita Haapala the lady behind the camera over at Brita Caroline Photography. Her kiddos enjoyed the carousel merry-go-round and then the boys pretended to be aliens in a spaceship.

The next four shots were snapped by Eric Byykkonen. His littles had a great time on the rides, too. I love the expression on his little guy on the slide. In fact his smile says it all in each of the photos. The fair is so much fun for the kids, it’s great to see the joy in their faces. I still remember the fun of going to the carnival that came to Lake Linden every summer for a week or so when I was a kid.

Another event at the fair is the animal showing and judging. Keweenaw News shares a lamb judging video where the critters get a little feisty. Check out that little girl in the pink cowboy boots as she gets her lamb back in line for the judge to look over, she’s small but determined!

It's SO GOOD to see those smiles after all the shutdowns last year. Those sheep must outweigh the kids but the kids are determined!

Have to comment on yesterday's picture and all the posts people made back then. It was great to see all the positive comments from a variety of people - hope most of them are still around on Pasty Cam.
