The Houghton Waterfront has a number of beautiful gardens along the trail and Sarah Eles has some photos of them, along with a view of the Ranger III as it sails past the Portage Library and a sailboat docked on the waterfront near the Portage Lift Bridge.
Check out the bouquet of daffodils on the desk in that first window view shot. Just gorgeous! That’s Sarah’s daughter in the second photo, bordered by tulips on one side and the Bridgeview Park on the other side. The bike/walking trail along there is a great place to get some exercise, while enjoying the colorful tulips and you may even spot a boat or two at the docks along the way.
A little background for today’s video from Our Million Adventures. The following is shared from their YouTube page:
“Have you ever said "Someday"? Someday, I'll do it, or someday we'll go. We sure did. We wanted to travel, to experience life, to see the world without the clutter of "stuff". Someday we said...someday!
In 2018 "someday" came! It started as a crazy idea, and grew into a reality. We sold our possessions, and little by little our house became empty, and then we left it as well. Packed into a minivan with 5 kids, we set of on Our Million Adventures, a nomadic travel life, full of family time, hard work, and exploration.”
In all their travels they made their way here to the U.P. and share nine things they think you should do here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
