Chrissy Halkola and family have a family New Year’s Day tradition of getting outside for some snowshoeing, sledding and dinner afterwards. This year they headed to Nara Park in Houghton, where there are a number of snowshoe trails, which look absolutely beautiful with the sunshine and snowshoeing kids. After a fall or two along the way, then it’s time for some friendly sledding competitions to see who can reach the bottom of the hill first. Of course sledding down, always involves the walk back up to the top again, so plenty of exercise involved for the day, which means everyone will sleep well that night!

That is so darn cool!

The heavier dad started late, but reached the
bottom first...so much for Galileo's theory of
gravity which he demonstrated by dropping a heavy
person and a skinny person from the Leaning Tower
of Pizza.

Looks like a great time and look at that sunshine! The news reported this morning that we haven't had sunshine since 12/29. Chances look good for the next few days tho. Let it be so!!
