There probably aren’t too many more days like this left for comfortably enjoying the beaches of Lake Superior. Cathy McKenzie took advantage of a beautiful fall day recently and drove UP to Great Sand Bay to take in the sunshine and colorful leaves. Those Oak leaves she found, sure stand out from the blue of the Big Lake. Check out how clear the water was this day, too, you can just about see right through that wave. That is something I never really paid attention to, the clarity of Lake Superior, until I visited down south and saw the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf waters. We are truly blessed to enjoy all the beauty around us here UP North.
Lisa and Randy in the Keweenaw made a nice video featuring Fall Colors in the Keweenaw Peninsula, along with a drive on the Covered Road to Copper Harbor.
