Thanks to George C. Bailey, we’re getting a wonderful opportunity to view an American Bald Eagle taking off in flight from the rocky shores of Lake Superior, near Copper Harbor. Each one of these photos reflects the power and beauty of this majestic bird and gives you the feeling of being right there watching it take off in flight. “May your spirit fly like this”... George C. Bailey
I’m sure you know that the bald eagle is our National Bird and has been since 1782. It is on the Great Seal of our country, with outstretched wings and because it appears in many government institutions and on official documents of the United States, it is the most pictured bird in America.
Wild Revelation Outdoors shares this interesting video, All About Eagle Nests. I was amazed at the weight they can be when completed. Many interesting facts are included about eagles and their nest building.

What a beautiful bird!! And these pictures are so good. We love looking for eagles in our travels and. Actually, we love looking for them any time. There's a nest in one of the trees on the lake where we fish, and a couple of years ago there were 3 babies in the next. It was so much fun to see them. Thanks for the pictures of this great bird.
