Benji Hainault and family took a drive to check out what’s happening on the shores of Lake Superior recently and found these scenes in Eagle River. Looks like there’s plenty of ice built up into mounds on the shoreline, but there doesn’t seem to be much out further in the Lake that day. His kiddos conquered the Superior Ice Mountain. I wonder if they had the concept that they were also standing on top of Lake Superior? They could tell their friends they were walking on water... frozen water that is.
Check out the beautiful sunset they were treated to by sticking around long enough for the sun to drop below the horizon. The beauty of the Copper Country never ceases to impress me, no matter how many times I witness it.
Today’s video was made in Eagle River by E. Neil Harri, taking a drive around town after a snow storm. If you’re familiar with the streets of Eagle River, you’ll notice a few of them are either not plowed yet that day or perhaps aren’t plowed during the winter months, as there is not as much traffic this time of year.

Excellent video, Mr. Harri, thanks for the drive. The times that I've taken that drive were on the Wing during summer...brought back memories.
