Today’s photos from Barbara Bouwkamp, give folks an idea of what it’s like to live on a country dirt road in the Spring when the snow begins to melt. It’s a big mess for a couple weeks at least. Barb’s first photo shows all the mud puddles, they make it hard to take a
walk this time of year, too, not to mention the mess it makes on your vehicle. Take a close look in the second photo, you can see White Birch trees reflected in the mud puddles. So a little beauty can be found in the muddy mess of Spring meltdown. Same goes for the last photo with the White Birch trees along the side of the road. Barb snapped that shot so the wet, muddy mess didn’t show and you just see the sunshine and snow.
We join Jeff Dennis for our video excursion, on the shores of Little Traverse. Make sure you have your speakers turned on, so you can hear the tinkle of the thin ice as the gentle waves are pushing and breaking it up along the shoreline. I find it to be a peaceful, soothing sound, what do you think?

Not to "nit-pick" but could the last photo be Aspen trees? The second photo is clearly White Birch.
Its easy to get mixed up if there is only one species in view and nothing to compare to.
Thanks for sharing the UP beauty!
