When Kathy Archabeau’s husband, Curtis came in and told her to grab her camera, she didn’t know what to expect. Today’s photos are what she found, a weird phenomenon, created by one of our recent storms, that plastered snow against the outside wall of their garage and then once the sun came out later in the day, the wall warmed enough to let go of the snow slowly, forming this crazy creation that went out about 3 feet from the garage wall. The one thing I forgot to ask Kathy, was if they know when it finally broke off. It is truly remarkable what nature can do.
Today’s video shows another phenomenon, but not so unusual or uncommon here in the U.P., really. It shows the snowfall one night this past February in the Marquette area. Plenty of formations then, too, called snow banks!

Very cool pictures! The video was very
mesmerizing. I loved when he showed the street
lamp with the snow lightly coming down. Great
job!
