Every so often, a Portage Lake Lift Bridge photo shows up and I feel the need to give those away from the Copper Country, a glimpse of their connection to home. Today’s beauty comes to us from Brita Haapala of Brita Caroline Photography. I just love how she framed the Bridge with the colorful flowers and the green of the trees.
Speaking of green, Taana Blom snapped the second photo from the Houghton waterfront, looking across at Mont Ripley ski hills. She added some unpopular wordage to go along with the photo, saying that in 113 days this will be covered with the ‘white stuff’. We know it’s coming, but sure don’t like to think about it quite yet.
To get those thoughts out of your head, watch this video from Michigan Tech, and experience one minute of summer at the University
