Jeff Dennis and his family made a trip to Mackinac Island last week, enjoying the beautiful view from up on the bluff, along with a bike ride around the Island, always a fun time meeting up with a horse drawn carriage passing by. I love the third shot of the kids on the brightly lit street at night. The Island takes on a little different scene from the daytime, busy tourist traffic, after the last ferry leaves for the evening. It’s quieter and much less people about in the street. It truly is a magical place.

If you’ve never toured the Grand Hotel when visiting the Island, then today’s video will be a real treat. We join Michael Bodel for a look at this historic hotel.

I love the Grand Hotel and the Island. I can't remember the year of my last visit but the hotel must have been "in between" owners as the exterior was in desperate need of a new coat of paint.

Mackinac Island is also the U.S.'s second national park from 1875-
'95.

I checked the movie. The front porch is a lighter shade of green but the inside carpet is a red pattern.
