Just about all of this snow melted today with rainy conditions in the Copper Country. After a very rushed day, we went out to dinner with Becky and Bryan in Houghton, and I suddenly remembered ...whoops, no Pasty Cam yet. So we stopped by their place at Tech, and this was Bryan's screen saver. They're not allowed to keep pets inside, so they just watch their furry friends through the window.

Whew, we have shipped a ton of pasties this week. Literally, I mean, a TON of pasties, with orders headed to most of the 50 states. With tomorrow's next-day deliveries we'll complete sending around 2,000 of these U.P. favorites for the week.

Hopefully the weather will co-operate.

Charlie, looks like every one's gone to bed already. Lots of rain here in Cornell, too. No snow to speak of left. Maybe Santa's going to have to put wheels on those sleigh runners, 'eh?
Pasties and pasties, here, too. Mimi and I made a coupla suppers worth yesterday. Like Mom used to, in a pie pan. With rutabagas. Mm good!

Yes, you just sent some pasties to our son and his wife in GA. Thanks so much! They were delighted to recieve them.

Nice pic of the squirrel friend!

Unfortunatly, i'm not in bed yet. I've still got more homework to do. We haven't gotten any snow that stayed on the ground yet. Last night we got rain and sleet that froze to the ground, but it was so warm it all melted before morning. I'm looking at a brown Christmas. I hope your pasties get delivered on time and i really hope everyone who bought them enjoys them! Have a great holiday!

Even though we are way out here in stormy wet California I can already smell the pasties that are due to arrive tomorrow. Just thinking about them is mouth-watering!

My brother and sister-in-law are celebrating Christmas with their grandkids in North Carolina, so we had our Christmas last Sunday. For four days I've been eagerly awaiting my present from them, pasties and a Pasty Cam calendar! Dinner tomorrow is gonna be great! Thank the pasty crew for all their hard work, Charlie, and let them know they make a lot of people happy. You, too!

Chaarlie, ordered my pasties early. (: The anticipation of delivery is something else.
Chow Chow and pasty brought back memories of my mother who loved the combination. My husband grew up in Hancock(graduate of MTU) and I hail from Liminga. We have our C.C. wreath on our front door. Pasties & the wreath give us that feeling of "home." Keep up the good work!

Eagerly awaiting pasty delivery today! My 93 year old grandfather is going to be so surprised when he sits down to our family Christmas dinner on Tuesday and sees a hot, delicious UP pasty on his plate!

Thank you so much (Becky!) for your 'service with a smile!'

Happy Holidays, all!

Charlie, glad to hear there were so many pasty orders. We can tout the glories of pasty.com far and wide, but the only thing we can do to help financially support it and Still Waters is to buy pastys.

Thanks for your and the rest of the gang's hard work. It's truly appreciated each and every visit to pasty.com, each and every pasty we devour from Pasty Central!

Does anyone remember the albino squirrel
that used to roam MTU in the 70's? I
remember that he was the largest squirrel I'd
ever seen. Beautiful animal...

By Luanne, Dickeyville, WI on Thursday, December 19, 2002 - 08:56 pm:

Yes Anne, there was more than one albino squirrel in the area. There are still a couple of them living around the park on Garnet street and also Dollar Bay has some. I remember the one in the 70's used to roam by the KD's house alot. Perhaps the Garnet street bunch are ancestors.
