So Charlie gives me a call late this afternoon and says "Toivo, there's a mid-week pasty shipment that needs extra attention, so can you do the Pasty Cam again?" Sure, I says, if you save a couple of those pasties for me. "You drive a hard bargain", he mumbles.

So here in Charlie's Inbox I find a portrait he apparently overlooked. It's from Charles Mills, a week ago Sunday when his boy turned 6 years old. Late happy birthday, Master Mills, and here's your puppy online. They say his proper name is "god of thunder", or just Thunder for short.

Reminds me of another Christmas Canine here on Pasty Central a couple of years ago: "Bear" at the Einerlei in Chassell.

Bear
The Pasty Cam is goin' to the dogs.

Must make you the iso koira päällikkö then, Toivo, and you wear it well! Tank' goodness you're available on short notice! Kiittos!

(No, I'm unfortunately not fluently Finn -- I rely on

Thanks Candy for the tip on the Finn dictionary site. Toivo, you are my kind of guy--putting those cute doggie pics on there to cheer me up. Alex, I tried to listen to your music but did not have an MP3 player only Media player via 58k modem. E-mail me to tell me how to listen... Is the radio station you are a DJ at on the Web? I want a pasty so bad right now! We did get snow today and everybody went home in a big hurry because we might get one whole inch!WOW I remember wading in snow up to my waist from downtown Hancock to the old St. Joe's Hospital for day shift in 1969--lived in an apartment that's no longer there.

By AJ THE DJ on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 - 10:24 pm:

I'm not presently DJing. However, I would love to get back into it if we come to the U.P.

I don't know why you are having trouble hearing the music. I will write you offline.

Toivo:

Thanks for keeping us up to date on Charlie's busyness. We know he (like Santa) is very busy at this time of the year, but we need our daily dose of the UP.

Wish I could give you thanks in Finnish - but I'm finished.

Alice A.

A 36" leg! Wow!! My ex had a 35" inseam and he was 6'1".

Candy- I also appreciate the Finnish dictionary. Here I thought you were just so fluent. I could have used it about a month ago. Nice guy from Finland bought some items from me on eBay, and although he used English, when I told him I was of Finnish heritage, he wrote some expressions in Finn.

Thunder looks so cool, that would be on the cover of my christmas cards, on thunder, on blitzen and so on.
