The upper left driftwood with its icy beard bears a striking resemblance to our dog. And the lower right reminds me of the old Kraft Mystery Theatre production of "The Monkey's Claw". As I recall, that was the first color television program I ever saw, back in the early 60's.
The bottom right photo looks like something Donn would have someone do in his Physical Therapy practice! Looks painful, but probably a good stretching exercise. Once again, Donn has outdone himself! And now he's able to share many of his works online himself at www.deyampert.com. Sure worth a first (and second and third...) look.

Speaking of beards, who's the bearded seaman peeking out from behind the driftwood in the picture in the lower left corner? Not from the Edmund Fitzgerald, I hope! Chilling thought...
was up last week and meant to get to Freda, now I know why!!!! Just too much to do with the holidays and all. Beautiful shots-WOW!

As a transplanted downstater, I love seeing any photos of the U.P. I'm originally from Menominee, went to college at Michigan Tech, and now live in Traverse City. I spend every spare vacation day in the U.P., and someday will be back there when I decide to sell my business. Any other former MTU students out there???

Was just checking the snow thermometer to see how much white stuff is around. Can anyone tell me which of the 3 photos is the one showing the current amount of snow on the ground?

Our logs report almost 5 million hits in November, and based on the first 3 days of this month, we are on track for 6 million+ in December. However, the concept of 'hits' can be a little misleading, as it represents every object requested by any browser (picture, webpage, order form, etc.), and not individual visits. It appears the typical visitor to Pasty.com generates at least 60 hits.

I love these photos. I live in Kansas and was lead to this site by my brother in Minn. I check it out daily and use some of the photos for my desktop. Thanks for sharing your part of the country with the rest of the world.

Two Tech Grads Here (91 & 93) - we visit daily to get the picture of the day (and to order pasties once in a while) - we miss pasty day at the MUB!

PJ from Lansing asked regarding the camera I used for the Freda pictures. That day I rattled off 260 photographs in 4 hours time with a Sony F717 digital camera using 138mb memory sticks.
