When we were down in Alabama last weekend, several asked us, "Do y'all have snow on the ground yet?". Well, here's proof, about 6 inches worth... a shot we took yesterday passing through Ishpeming.

This is the same spot we visited at the beginning of the summer, and had a good time reminiscing about Smokey and his song, in case you missed it. (Of course, you'll need Real Audio to play that link.)

The mysterious marvel of this white blanket sent from heaven reminds us all of the true message of the upcoming yuletide season, " A fresh start for our inner soul can be as startling as the new fallen snow"

I agree with Rev. Carson,
You all truly live in GOD'S COUNTRY. Times may be good and times may be bad, but look about you at the beauty of the land and the people around you, you have been truly blessed by GOD to live and be where you are now.

I am 71 now, but was born in Ishpeming in 1931. One of 9 children. On the day my bro. Ron was born, my mother walked to the hospital in snow up to her hips. That would have been in about '34.

Amen! to the ARK pastor's comments. That 'little stranger in the manger' grew up to suffer our sin and to give us life everlasting by trusting and believing in HIM. PTL! I feel very blessed to be living UP here. 'Member what I said before? 906 is God's area code. :o) Glad you made it back home again, Charlie. Kiitos for this pastycam site!

I love it; "906 is God's area code". Having been born in Laurium, MI. (906), that makes me a yooper by birth. The few, the proud, the Yoopers.

I agree with you D.S, I was born there too, but also am enjoying the winter in Fl.

Ditto! We also are enjoying the winter in FL...
