A week ago Charlie promised you more of Jon and Katriina's wedding shots - - one of those loose ends he turned over to me before leaving on Monday (thanks, Chuck). It has been a fun week as substitute Pasty Cam editor, and today I'm almost caught up. Still have the Wallpaper of the Week to do. How about some of them crop circles?

Credits go to several photographers for the pics above: Bill Cook, Doug Griffin, Jon Anderson, and Dave Hopper. By now the newlyweds are somewhere out in the Pacific northwest, across the border in Canada no doubt. And who knows where Charlie and Edie disappeared to. At last report they were spotted up on Mount Lookout.

Toivo, you get a big gold star for your great work this past week. Thanks for coming to the rescue and letting Charlie and his wife take a break. The wedding pics. are beautiful! Question: Do you have one of Charlie and his wife? I have no idea what they look like. Thanks for all your hard work, Toivo.

Betty,

Here's Charlie and Edie, aboard the Keweenaw Star last Friday during the rehearsal dinner. Charlie is getting some shots of the guests, and Edie is seeing if there is anyone overboard.

Toivo; ya done good, sonny. You can be Substitute Pasty Cam editor anytime.

By Betty, Houston on Sunday, August 25, 2002 - 10:10 am:

Hmmmm. I am sure I will be able to spot Charlie and Edie if I ever run into them on the Keweenaw Star if it ever finds it way to one of Houston's bayous.

Ken P, here is the shot Charlie was taking - - It's not me though. The guy with the camera is Doug Griffin and to his right, the groom.

So, Deputy Pasty Cam Editor, any other wedding details you can share? Like who stood, who performed the ceremony, who made the beautiful cake?? It looks to have been a beautiful wedding, if the smiles on the faces of the bride and groom are any indication!

And I second everyone else's vote on your editorial abilities!

Charlie's wife Edie made the wedding cake, and a chocolate "groom's cake", which was a real hit.

By Bill Cook
The marriage ceremony was performed by Jon's uncle Bill Cook (right), assisted by Katriina's uncle Orval Wirkkala.

One familiar face among Jonathan's groomsmen is Steve Jones, who also played at the reception.

From the mother of the bride

Kiitos, Toivo, for printing those lovely pictures!I enjoyed meeting Charlie and Edie's families and friends and found everyone in the Keweenaw to be very helpful. Thank you to everyone who offered a helping hand - all much appreciated! I'm looking forward to visitting the Keweenaw more often and learning about the Finnish heritage, now that I have family living there!
