The big day finally arrived, and so did a wind storm all across the U.P. We will have more pictures of the wedding festivities in the Keweenaw later today, so check back for a link here.

By Uncle Bill and Aunt Linda on Sunday, August 18, 2002 - 10:36 am:

Congratulations, Jon and Katriina. Thanks for letting me be a part of your celebration! I really enjoyed the weekend...Aunt Linda and I look forward to visiting as you head through western Canada!!

By SharonS on Sunday, August 18, 2002 - 10:43 am:

Congratulations, Jonathan and Katriina, two of the nicest young people I've been privileged to meet.

Their wedding day is going to be doubly memorable because of the weather. I wonder, was there power at the reception? It was pretty dark along the north shore...

By jeff@Illinois on Sunday, August 18, 2002 - 11:06 am:

strange weather indeed. well they'll remember that....good luck to them seem like a nice couple

By Grizzly Adams on Sunday, August 18, 2002 - 11:15 am:

Awesome wedding for an awesome couple! A day to remember!

By Charlie at Pasty Central on Sunday, August 18, 2002 - 11:32 am:

Sharon - We had power throughout the entire reception, right up to the "garter toss", at which time the lights went out everywhere. I heard one squeaky voice say, "Welp, time to go home".

The celebration was at the Lahti Retreat Center, over at Rabbit Bay. Later today I hope to find time to put on a few of the pictures, and maybe some from our cruise on the Keweenaw Star for the dinner rehearsal Friday evening. Right now we are on our way to the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge, for the 50th wedding anniversary of Jonathan's maternal grandparents, Jerry and Thelma Cobb.

A memorable weekend indeed :o)

Katrina & Jon - congrats on your union together. I wish you both the best of luck...

May your years be blessed and may the two of you enjoy sticking pasties in the oven for years to come!

Keep it innovative. Sometimes the best recipe may take years to develope, but with time and the right ingredients - I'm sure your cookin will only get better.
