Lets see, looking off Brockway Mountain Drive east to Eagle Harbor? I think that is correct. 1.5 days till I'm on Vacation in the Keweenaw again! Can't wait.

The picture was taken atop Mt. Lookout. I was there a few days ago and didn't hang around for the sun setting. I was all alone and don't care to be hiking down by myself in the dark. You never know what you might bump into. I had too many experiences with what seemed to be very angry bears snapping their jaws and mock charging me. Nice photo!

What a fitting, beautiful picture for the "In Memory" shot. I don't know the other folks mentioned, but I do know that Kevin Anderson would have loved this scene and would also have loved getting there to take it. Again, just so fitting.....thank you!

What a fine looking picture, wish i never found this site. I want to be there so bad, but im afraid if i ever go home i wont want to leave,if there were only jobs with medical insurance it wouldent take me more than a second to be on my way. By the way does anyone have a copy of the dailily mining gazette as i wrote a letter to the editor during the past two weeks, they called me and said that they would publish it, I would love to be back home and do all that i can to promote calumet and the park, I am not knocking what has been done so far, but there is a lot more to be done, interview the old resident's that were really there, that is fewer & fewer every day, what's published in books is not always the god's honest truth, there are state and federal grant money avalible if you know the right way to go about it, even when they say there is nothing to be had, there is usually someway around that if you are persistant. I wished i lived up there now or a few months ago, i would be runing for whatever office was open, have to start somewhere. Its, not about what has been done its about what could and needs to be done. One vision, one dream of COPPER TOWN USA. My town, my homeland, and most of all, my people.

Thanks to ken, i have found my letter to the editor, and now feel like a horse's back end, I admitt that "I" was wrong on the subject of the daily mining gazette, to all who wrote me please accept my appoligie, not shure of the spelling of that, anyway i wish i was home. Sorry and hope to be back home for two weeks in september. Too many deadlines and commitments to be able to leave before then, can't wait.

This is the first month end memorial that nobody remembered the wonderful folks listed who went onto their new lives. Even though I did not know any of them, I bowed in a moment to thank them for making a difference while they were in this life.
