Sorry for the Cam update being late, I really prefer to publish it early in the morning. But it has been a busy, busy day here in the Copper Country. Jonathan and I have been to the high spots around the Peninsula again today, working on an exciting new project for our area. You can read about it over at Keweenaw Now.

After a hard days work, this shot by Tom Christofferson caught my eye, among the plethora of photos we received for Lighthouse Week. Somehow the sky has the cool flavor of a blueberry popsicle. Which reminds me of the Beyer boys a few weeks ago, when we REALLY had some heat.

Yummy

ALL RIGHT! Been off & on this sight several times today waiting for the "latest & greatest" light house pic. Thanks for another GREAT photo!

The Keweenaw has the bluest skies I have EVER seen! And the clearest skies at night.

And the best sunsets! I could go on and on......

By Ken from da UP on Saturday, July 27, 2002 - 12:58 am:

And the best sunrises, too. This is really a nice picture of the lighthouse there. WOW!
Ken from da UP spent a couple days in Oshkosh with his grandson from WI. Are my dogs barkin'! (My dad used to say that.) You just can't imagine what some of those aerobatic flyers can do with their airplanes. Omigosh and Voi Kauhea! :o)

Not far from those blue skies is the sign stating that you are breathing the cleanest air on earth!
The good old air filter of Gitchee Gumme. Took the boat tour a few years ago to this Light..great rock scramble area for kids

Wow! Thanks for using my photo. I never expected to see it on the Pasty Cam. This one is proof that digital cameras can take good photos.

This is a beauty! In fact, this whole week of pictures have been fantastic! Thanks Charlie and Thanks to the photographers. What a beautiful world!

I just kayaked around this baby on Sunday. To the viewers right and in the shallow water, there is a turquoise streak which is a copper vein - very cool stuff! This Indiana Yooper was blessed with warm dry weather. I MISS THIS PLACE!

Now for a shameless plug. Recently the Catholic Church in Lake Linden was re-furbished by Conrad Schmitt and Co., who also did the Basilica at Notre Dame. Could the PC photographers do a before and after shoot? It is very stunning!

By Rose Tuttle, Illinois on Sunday, August 11, 2002 - 02:28 pm:

The vein of rock you are referring to is not turquoise, but chrysocolla. I remember falling in there when I was about 10, reaching out for a rock! We just got home from our U.P. trip yesterday, and I want to go back NOW!
