Rose at work
Our daughter was home in Wisconsin for the weekend and we took some time out to take photos. She reported that the trillium were flowering along the roadside all the way back home to the UP.

I think this is the first time we've seen one of the Riemer family on the Pasty Cam without water being in the picture:

I bet there is a pond behind the trees.

In Mississippi the gardenias are in full bloom. Walking the dog in the morning brings a heady aroma.

Our gardenias, mock orange and jasmine are going great guns here in California, giving us a real olfactory treat driving on country roads. Gardens are going all out now, too, except mine -- hard for a transplanted Copper Country girl to figure out how to deal with 100 degree temps!

Left this a.m. 5:30 to head back to Peoria after two weeks of hard labor on the property. The wife and I loved every minute of it. We saw these beautiful flowers a good half of the way home. By the way got back 8 and a half hours later, which is very good time. Already we are homesick. Will be back 4th of July weekend. Mom and Dad can't wait for us to get back either. It was their 50th and they were happy to see our family all together at one time again, it had been many years. Keep up the good work on those pics. It really helps us get over not being there at times.

Here in very northern California, the Bearded Iris have just finished blooming and roses and Jasmine are just finishing their first bloom, I have dead-headed the roses twice all ready. They have been spectacular this year. Maybe it was our 53inches of rainfall so far this season. Our trilliums were gone by late April though.

I enjoy the Pasty web site every day. Keep up the good work.

If the Trillium are in bloom, can the Morels be far behind?? Has it been wet enough this spirng?
