Plaque
Earlier this week Kelly Wenberg showed us O-Kun-De-Kun Falls, north of Bruce Crossing. If you go east instead (*toward Trout Creek) you cross this renowned bridge over the Middle Branch of the Ontonagon River.

We welcome Ferdinand Lundberg to the ranks of our Pasty Camists, and also thanks again to Toivo from Toivola to help us locate today's shot on the map:
you are here
*There's a tounge twister - try saying it fast 3 times:
toward Trout Creek
toward Trout Creek
toward Trout Creek

I have a better one. Toivo from Toivoal traveled toward Trout Creek. Thanks again for this wonderful site, and thanks Toivo for your talent with maps.

Just returned to CA from a week in the U.P. where there is real WEATHER, changing every day, keeping life interesting, unlike here where the thermometer seems to be stuck on 72 degrees with very little precipitation (boring!). I accompanied my snowbird parents from their stifling, humid 102 degrees in Florida back to relief at their U.P. home where on our first morning back, we were greeted with that gorgeous fresh snowfall seen on the May 9 PastyCam. My first waking thought was to open the window to listen to the robins whose song I hadn't heard in a long time. When I did, I was delighted to discover huge snowflakes falling and sifting all that refreshing "powdered sugar" over our cedars and balsam and the whole world outside! Of course that didn't stop the robins--they were still singing their hearts out. I stuck my face and hands out of the window to feel the gentle snowflake kisses on my skin. What a treat for a snow-starved former Yooper! The waterfalls of Eagle River were ROARING...ah, spring in the U.P.!

I am a TC resident now. I was born here and graduated from TC HS, after chasing jobs and education all over the US I returned. It's so nice to be back and to know that I will never leave again. Anyone know where Cottenham Lake is, good bit of local history there. I note ferdie lumberg is part, I live in the Waiko Lakkanen house in the old "Hood".
