Could I just sit there on the bank and sip my morning coffee?

By Charlie at busy, busy Pasty Central on Thursday, May 16, 2002 - 08:37 pm:

Sorry a little late with today's Cam. This morning as we started to upload May 16, I thought this was a sunset. But knowing it was taken in Lake Linden, I realized the sun doesn't set over water in those parts. Mary said this was behind her home, Torch Lake, right behind the elementary school.

The day got off to a flying start before I could click "send". Better late than never.

Is Mary Drew going to be the Ansel Adams of Keweenaw County? A beautifully framed picture to and calming to the viewers.

Beautiful scene, Mary. Great to be up early and see the changing light. Here in California this morning there is fog from the coast ten miles away. Thanks for the photo, and for introducing me to this neat website. Lachlan MacDonald LLHHS Class of 1946

You are invited to have your morning coffee and to view another gorgeous sunset from my front porch on Bete Grise Bay where miles of the Keweenaw tip can be seen from Mt. Bohemia to Keystone Point. Perhaps you can submit a photo for Pastycam.

You're gonna get us both .... Randy and I are planning to sit on your front porch, drink our morning coffee and look over Bete Gris for a few days this autumn. And I'm sure ther'll be a picture or two to be had while I'm there!
