Three weeks from today, the Women's Hockey Club at Michigan Tech is leaving for a week of play-offs in Anchorage, Alaska, in a bid for the national championship! The team has had an exciting season, continually improving their offense and defense, and they are ready for a shot at the title.

Unlike the men's sports program at MTU, the women have to raise their own support for the team's travel expenses. Would you like to help them compete for the National Championship? Good luck ladies! I had a ton of fun with women's ice hockey at Tech in the late 70's, early 80's. It was just intramurals then but I'm thrilled to see expanded programs for women's ice hockey now. Have fun and good luck!

When I went to tech back in the sixty's, all the hocky players were imported from Canada. They all lived in their own little village near the sports field on the east end of the campus. They were great competitors.
