My inbox was blessed this morning with another chunk of the U.P. from Dan Urbanski - a shot of Superior's shore taken west of here, looking east. It's a pleasure to pass this blessing along to you.

Today is one of those days which don't come along too often: 02-02-2002. Next time will be a little over 1,000 years: 03-03-3003. I bet Lake Superior will be just as beautiful.

Charlie, you do western hearts good with your attention to our homeland!

I felt like the snow in this picture could have been in my house the last few days! Wednesday we got about 8 inches of wet, heavy snow, and then almost an inch of ice on top of that. It was too much for the trees in the area, and a big limb came down just before 7:00 a.m. Thursday, taking out the power lines and putting some holes in our garage roof. 56 hours later, we finally got power restored. Some folks are still in the dark. It was 46 degrees in the house this morning! Our 18 year old cat was starting to get cold ears! We are very thankful that the holes are in the garage roof, and not in the house!!
