Was snowmobiling and rode up the North American Trail and snapped this pic looking north. You can see the Cliff View Bar, Vansville Bar, Phoenix Church and the rest of the Cliffs north of Phoenix.

A few years back we featured a shot taken just below this spot, down there on US-41. Definitely a little more snow that year. This is one of my all time Pasty Cam favorites:

Fantastic photo--I am jealous. I grew up in Houghton, and have lived in NE Wisconsin for the rest of my years. Have NEVER been interested in sitting on a snowmobile, except for my dream to go to the top of Brockway in the winter sometime before I depart this earth. Are there any people who run trips up there for us "flatlanders"??

I will NEVER forget the many years I spent hiking through the Cliff area....spent many a time exploring the roads, old mine buildings and the underground there (when it was still possible to GET underground there)....The Upper Cliff area, especially the Overlook is indescribably beautiful in Autumn colors...Why in the world did I EVER leave the UP????

Magnificent scenery. Nostalgic memories abound as I view everyone's photos and comments about the UP. While I intensely dislike cleaning my driveway here in Royal Oak when it snows, just viewing the UP pictures makes me want to hurry up there to enjoy the snow which I so detest here. AČ

Im a photo student and am very impressed. You have a perfect contrast. The sky is beautiful. nice job. I never get tired looking at pictures like that. I dont know what ill do when i leave Houghton.
