Charlie at Pasty Central on Wednesday, December 20, 2000 - 09:43 pm:

John Gronewald pulls the snow away from the picture windows, while the front loader scoops the heavy stuff. It's a battle these days just to maintain daylight.

And the other challenge we have faced here at Pasty Central this week, is the mountain of Christmas gift orders for all 50 states. A number of the callers mentioned they saw an article about pasty.com in Midwest Living magazine. Actually it's in the February issue, which should be on newsstands next week.

Thanks to all who have helped us move a mountain of pasties this week!

My Midwest Living came today but I haven't taken it out of the wrapper yet, so will have to check it out. Guess the orders may come sooner than you think.
And we have almost as much snow as you in the "thumb" of Michigan, good old lake effect, with some nice icy stuff in-between snowstorms. We don't seem to handle it as well as up there, the roads are terrible. And some schools got early Christmas vacations. I think we have forgotten what Michigan winters are like after a few relatively mild ones.

All I could say when I opened up PastyCam just now was "YIKES"! I will not tell you what a beautiful day it is today in Houston. That would not be nice. Charlie, thanks for these pictures EVERY SINGLE DAY, especially when you are so busy
right now.

Just have to applaud ALL at Pasty Cam who are responsible for sharing these beautiful pictures of life in Upper Michigan. My friends from all over the U.S. have fallen in love with this area because of your beautiful photography. A VERY, MERRY CHRISTMAS and PROSPEROUS, HEALTHY NEW YEAR to each and every one of you!

Gosh, Charlie,
I will stop my complaining down here in Chicago-land. At least, we don't have to clear snow away from windows - at least not yet. We actually got our power snowblower last night. It would help you guys some.

God Bless You in your work and I hope you have a wonderful holiday. We did our part in ordering pasties yesterday. Hope they do get to us for New Year's Eve. We will think of you when we eat them.

(We visited you in September.)

Charlie et all, I want to extend my sincere wishes for a very merry Christmas for all of you and I do love your web-site. I grew up in Laurium and it brings such fond memories of that area and my childhood. First thing every day I look for your pictures and wealth of information. I would order pasties but I make my own. In fact when our 8 children (grown) are here for Christmas with their families we plan a pasty day the day after Christmas. That is everyone's favorite. Even a couple of them make their own. Keep up the good work. Evelyn in Texas

Hey everyone! It is Jenny from Houston, Texas. I escaped the freezing winters four years ago moving here from Flint. Don't miss those winters a bit. Keep on shoveling boys. Those of us Michiganders who live in Texas. Hola!
