Pleasant temps, a light breeze, hardly a cloud in the sky... classic symptoms of a phenomenon known in these parts as "Indian Summer". Of course, the snow from earlier in the week is all gone.

I pray for the weather to keep through the weeked, my sister is getting married in White Pine on Saturday.

Isn't Autumn awesome?? We have trees like that still here in Ohio and the sky has been that wonderful deep blue which makes the trees really stand out!

So tell me, where did the term "Indian Summer" get its name? I used the same phrase to a Texan yesterday and he said he had never heard of "Indian Summer". I explained that we related it to this last burst of warm weather before winter, but I was at a loss to explain where the expression comes from. Any help?

It's Native American Summer here in Indiana! Beautiful tree!

My sister and I attend MTU and walk past this tree every day. We just realized that one half is orange and the other half is red. It is actually 2 tree's....we hadn't even noticed until the color change made it so obvious!

I noticed that too (two?) It's two tree's that are intertwined so closely that they look like two trees. I can see this tree right out of the window from where I work.
