Have you ever noticed that the Upper Peninsula has the same rugged edges as maple leaves? For those of us who have lived a while in this big playground known as the U.P., the jutting boundaries and coastline have special meaning.
Like Bay De Noc there near the bottom, with Escanaba on the west, Manistique to the east... on over to St. Ignace on the right lower tip, up to Sault Ste Marie... west around the Bay to Whitefish Point... back across that dip in the northern central U.P. where you find Munising and Marquette. And then there's the ears of the crouching rabbit known as the Keweenaw (home of Pasty Central)... to the west Ontonagon, Silver City, Bessemer, Ironwood...
What a great place to call home, and a great bunch of friends like Rose Riemer who are letting us see the U.P. through their eyes.
Guest Pasty Cam shots are always welcome :o)
