Here are a couple folks I can truly identify with. Nestled into a comfortable(?) hollow in the escarpment at Lake Of The Clouds, enjoying the first snow falling over the Porcupine Mountains. They seemed oblivious to the other hikers and photographers around them, just awed by the wonders of nature. It was such a pleasure to witness their reverie.

Shortly after we received Dan's email of today's Pasty Cam shot, we also received word that his mother, Rose Urbanski had passed away. Our sympathy from the entire staff at Still Waters.

Thanks to Dan and all who submit the wonderful photo's each day.....I call it "Keeping in Touch" until hopefully we can visit again. Sincere sympathy for Dan with his mother's passing.

Sympathy to Dan on the loss of his mother. I too lost my mother (also named Rose) just 5 yrs ago this month.

Thanks for the excellent photo...we too have gotten snow, but what came down this a.m. was truly unusual...huge clumps of snow as big around as fifty cent pieces!! Had it lasted we would have been buried in no time!! I videoed that!
So sorry about losing your Mom...all of us that have gone through it can relate to your pain.

Just another note of praise to Dan and all the other Pasty Cam photographers on the beautiful pics. I send them out all over the country and they are enjoyed so by all who receive them. My heartfelt sympathy to Dan on the loss of his mother.

My sympathy on the passing of your mother. My dad just died. I think of the autumn and winter as our season of our grieving and sadness, which will lift when life returns to the earth in Spring.

My Mother Joan Makowski passed away on March 19, 2002. My Dad George passed away on March 21, 1999 (He has been gone three years). I miss them very much. Its going to be hard for me around the holidays, because this is the first holidays without my mom.
