Here is the autumn version of a view from Summit Peak in the Porkies that appeared on the Pasty Cam last May. I took this just before I lost my grip on my camera, sending it down an 80 foot cliff. I had a heck of a time getting down that cliff, then an even more difficult search for it. There were dozens of possible places where it could have come to rest. Just about to give up, then there it was - scuffed and battery-less. I powered it up with some spares and it worked! All I had to do was clean some hemlock pitch from the lens and things are peachy.

I miss my U.P.! I'm downstate for college, and that's the one thing I'm really missing right now, the colors.

Great Shot. Wanted to get up for the color's, but didn't work out. I heard they were not the best this year, but this shot proves that wrong!

Heaven on earth, what a great shot! There is a fun poem about the U.P. that the BIG MAC ( The Mackinaw Bridge) was built so the Trolls (people who live in lower MI) would have a way to get to heaven. Those colors are so beautiful. Thanks for your web site, I really look forward everyday to see a view of the Superior Pennisula.
