I grew up in Iron Mountain. But sadly I moved to the LP in the late 60's. But I still consider IM home. Swimming at Grandpa's on "Moon Lake", Cowboy Lake and the leaches, or walking out forever in the water's at Lake Antione...
heck I even swam in the Cornish Pump's water between the pistons. Whoa, for sure as a kid that wasn't too bright. Now they built a building around it and charge an entrance fee...
Porketta sandwiches, Becco's market, Roma's & Casa Loma's pizza, C&R Fish Fry, the bear & the peacock at the Park-Zoo, Pine Mountain winter fun, Ice skating, and blue moon ice cream. Nothing smells like home, until you walk into Becco's market, Bimbo's or the woods down at City Park. J.M.R.

Just crusin' the net and had a hankerin' for a good old Iron Mountain porketta sandwich. Found this site and had to leave a note. Miss the U.P.,
but I haven't shoveled snow since I hit Tennessee!
