Hello from Ohio!

We live down here near Lake Erie, which is technically a Great Lake, but Superior is just that!

Hard to explain to folks how clear & clean the water is.

Above is one of our favorite spots - Great Sand Bay, where, in the opposite direction from the
camera, we love rock collecting.

Keep up the great work on your site,
Tricia Oleksy

Some other favorite spots....

Arch Rock, Mackinaw Island =>

View from Copper Harbor  (had to survive millions of blackflies to get this shot)
Awesome storm over Copper Harbor
Mt. Bohemia - Mother Nature temporarily covered up what big business has done to the mountain
Fishing at Lac La Belle - the water couldn't be any more still. Very quiet image.
Brunette park - love the different colored volcanic rocks
An old favorite - from Brockway mountain (with the guy's nose sticking out of the side of the mountain)

Tricia,

Thanks for sending such a great page for our Summer 2000 collection. These are some of our favorite places, too... and the lens of your "Pasty Cam" captured them true-to-life.

Tricia,
Great pictures the one of the sailboat in Lac La Belle, I believe is me when we came back from Isle Roayle! Good job!

Thanks for the wonderful photos. This was the first summer in 40 years that we haven't made the pilgrimage to the U.P.! But Pasty Cam photos have rekindled many fond memories.

Ahh Great Sand Bay...My favorite spot. Many a mile has been driven to reach it (its about 40 miles from where I live) but I have spent hours there walking on the beach, watching the stars, the sunset, and of course Lake Superior. What a peaceful place! Thank you! I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.

Paul

Thanks for taking a picture of our park. I haven't been back there in 6 years. Steve

Hey I was there! Thanks for the great vacation Tricia. I thought the UP was great and hope to go again. Nice shot of me fishing in Lac La Belle...but did you have to??

Thanks for giving me a glimpse of your vacation. What a beautiful spot to spend your time recharging your batteries!

A gorgeous picture. My grandparents had a cabin on Great Sand Bay over near the point in the picture. We always spent our 2 weeks of vacation up there- and even swan in that cold lake. My great uncle stills owns that point and we haven't been up there in the last two years. But I want to go now!

Tricia,
I have a sister named Tricia. You know, she took some pictures in Michigan as well. Oddly enough, she took pictures in some of the same places that you did. In fact, I recognize the dock at Lac La Belle... and the people on it... hey wait a minute...
