It's the Porkies. I grabbed the shot across the
highway from my studio.

beautiful photo. i see what you see and maybe a dolphin also. we enjoy the clouds and their images. also it is fun to watch the glowing embers of a campfire and see what images there are often in there. we often take a photo if there is something interesting( no flash of course, otherwise grey ash shows) enjoy your site daily. :) jim j

I see an omlette pan.

The meteorologist in me sees Alto Cumulus, with some Alto Stratus-Lenticluars. Plus a little Virga out ahead of the rainshaft.

The dreamer sees a wild stallion in full stride.

I see a wave approaching the shore as well and if you look at the wave vertically you'll see a human face trying to push its way through plastic. However, I like the wave better.

This is a stunning exhibit of why I spend a great deal of my time looking at the sky when I'm in Keweenaw. Somehow it's a lot more interesting than it is down in the big city.

I think that's because we have more sky to see
here - maybe.

Growing up in Detroit, and especially when I was a
not-to-happy student at University of Michigan, I
kept my eye on the sky. In spite of civilization's
impact on the ground, the atmosphere above was
still like untouched wilderness. I marveled at,
and took comfort in watching the sunsets and
storms. The UP scenery make for better pictures,
