Our gardener this year at Still Waters, Masha Klein, has done a terrific job, in spite of some dry conditions. Here's a sample of the beauty in our "back 40" here at the corner of Mine and Elm in Calumet.

Often Jonathan will take a half-dozen shots of his subject, and then choose the best from the group. However, today's close-up came as he passed through the garden - aim - click - done... a one-shot wonder.

After all these years, Pasty Camming is still lots of fun :o)

Is there anyway to get a copy of the picture to keep? I would be happy to pay for it. You see I have just written a poem about a rose like that one. If you want to see what kind of poetry I write you can visit my web site at http://members.aol.com/poetscalf

TO SUE: in most browsers, if you put your pointer over the picture, the right mouse button gives you a choise to "save image as.."which lets you instantly save a copy (what you are looking at has already been down loaded).

this is one of the best ever on the Pasty cam.

I've been the gardener at Still Water's for the last two years, and it is a fantastic garden. Anyone who has not seen it yet is really missing out. If you are not aware, money has been very tight lately for the garden's budget. Please pass the word that garden donations would be greatly appreciated. The garden volunteers and I would hate to lose this treasure.
