There was no ice present in the rivers this Thanksgiving. Overlooked Falls in the Porcupine Mts was flowing freely. This is a really pretty spot just off the South Boundary Road right in the virgin hemlock forest.

We went to my Dad's in Wakefield for Thanksgiving dinner Thursday, and Sunday Lake was absolutely glassy at sunset, reflecting everything above its surface.

Hope your holiday was nice.

It has been a pleasant week here at Pasty Central. Dan has graced our pages with a couple of nice shots, to join the other scenes in a typical, interesting week on the Pasty Cam.

Dan has several shots in the new 2002 Pasty Cam calendar. The back cover is his dew covered spiderweb from last May. One of my favorites in this new full size wall calendar is the drenched Lady Slipper in which you can actually see Dan's reflection in the falling water drop.

You will be very pleased with the quality of this year's calendar. Each photo is suitable for framing (8 1/2 x 11) and the days have large, uncluttered numbering. The pictures were chosen by Pasty Camwatchers from across the country and around the world.

The quickest way to order the Pasty Cam 2002 calendar is to go to the pasty order page, select the next available shipping date, and indicate how many you want and where to ship. While ordering pasties is not necessary, it is a delicious option, and you will save the extra $5 shipping charge.

Our special thanks to the hundreds of individuals who took the time to vote on this year's pictures to include. Perhaps in the coming year we could make the selections month-by-month. Stay tuned!

Congratulations (and thanks!) for another great shot, Dan (and Charlie, for posting them). I can imagine (from years of traveling to the Wakefield area) that the images on Sunday Lake were wonderful. We're just getting into fall here in the Sacramento region of California, with some wonderful reds and golds, but nothing can compare to those 'back home.' I'm happy to hear that the snow is taking its time, for everyone there. We're getting wind and rain this weekend -- sounds like blizzard wind in the dark. Hope everyone had a wonderful Turkey Day -- I'm one of the legion who are very thankful for Pasty.com.

I just returned home from a trip to the U.P., although I saw almost no snow, it was really cool to see in person so many places that I've seen right here in pasty.cam, Tried to see Charlie and Dan while I was up but I missed ya'll. Did meet some new and saw some old friends UP there.

It's a beautiful view...nothing like what we see down here in Georgia.

A person cannot growup and move away from the U.P. and not miss it. This is just ONE example of why.
