Hard to believe hunting season is here. Especially with temps in the 60's. And look how calm is the surface of the water.

Dan Urbanski continues to be a solid contributor to this visual journal of life in the U.P. As a matter of fact, I have been looking at proofs of the Pasty Cam 2002 Calendar and I notice Dan has 3 outstanding photos in this new full-sized wall calendar... selected by you, our Pasty Cam family. One of my favorites by Dan happens to be on the outside cover.

We'll have more information on the new calendar within the next week, and hope to start shipping them after Thanksgiving. Every page is filled with the beauty and the wonder of the U.P.

Are you sure that picture is right side up?

By Judy, MI on Thursday, November 15, 2001 - 11:20 pm:

Charlie, wonderful choice! I voted for this one and have had it for wallpaper since it was first shown, and until two days ago when I changed it!

Good evening, group. I realized after I had made my calendar selections that I had forgotten the lovely autumn leaf colors that have been (and still are) my wallpaper. So I'm delighted to see that lots of other people must have remembered.

Thanks to you all. I'm looking forward to the other selections.

What a beautiful picture! So serene. With the continuing news of tragedies in our country it really is invaluable to have a place to come to to see that there is still so much beauty in our world. Thank you, Dan and Charlie. This site makes my day!

Ditto on Martha's comments. Viewing your web page has become a routine part of my day.

When can we order the calender? Like many this is my first stop every morning. I also check in at night too. Thank you

Opps, sorry Charlie, I was so taken by the beauty of the photo, I didn't read all of your comments!
You can bet I'll have a few to give as Christmas gifts.

Mr.Urbanski and Mr. Brimm usually battle it out for my wallpaper and calender votes.
All I can say is "good eyes" gents.
looking forward to the calender this year!

The wallpaper credits the cover photo to Kenneth Mell, just wondering?

Having a bad day at work - needed to cruise the pasty cam for a pick-me-up. Thanks - I really needed this.

By Alice, Ventura, CA on Saturday, November 17, 2001 - 08:45 pm:

My apologies, I am another of those wanna-be UPers, but isn't Donken where there was the huge lumber mill. I think I remember traveling from Ontonagon to Houghton and seeing the huge piles of lumber. Oh, dah!! I just noticed the "family who owned the saw mill."! We used to vacation in the UP when I was a kid. Thanks for so much history and information.
