This week we have had reports of the northern lights being visible even in the deep south. There is a neat website devoted to this phenomenon at SpaceWeather.com, telling of an Auroral blast on the Sun this past Sunday, which led to the current ionospheric storm.
There was a different kind of storm here in Calumet yesterday, arriving via the Internet. It was a flood of pasty orders as a result of the Detroit Free Press article entitled "The U.P. Clicks". Heather Newman focused on the Upper Peninsula and how technology is affecting our lives, mentioning Pasty Central along the way.
