I am simply in awe each time I view your spectacular photos. You are one of the best photographers in the U.P. I admire you and being a self taught photographer, you should be so proud of your accomplishments!

It's pictures like this that have made it impossible for me to vote for the calendar. I've tried various times to select twelve pictures and given up because I can't narrow it down. Thanks to all of you photographers out there. We can only spend two weeks a year on our favorite lake, but our hearts are there every day. Your website has helped us to see and appreciate what we're missing the other fifty weeks of the year.

What an appropriately beautiful and serene photo to honor those who have left us. I would like to add Mildred Kalliainen. Sorry if the spelling is incorrect. I worked with "Millie" at Suomi College in the early 1960s and was so saddened to read in the FAR that she had passed on. My sympathies to her family.

I literally have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Pictures such as this are truly one of God's paintings.

Thanks for putting "Ma" (Gertrude Honkala Brooks)on the memory page. She was 93 and never wanted to leave the Copper Country. Trust me, she loves the picture....

PLEASE ADD MY MOTHER-IN-LAW, GRACE LAFLEUR TO THE MEMORY PAGE.

SHE PASSED ON IN OCTOBER AT THE AGE OF 91. A LIFE TIME RESIDENT OF CALUMET AND A SHORT TERM RESIDENT OF STILLWATERS.

SHE WAS LOVED BY ALL.

When I first saw this photo, I thought "WOW". Then the first message was identical. Amazing pictures.

Please add Jon Talvensasri to the memorial list. He was a fine person, great outdoorsman, loved the Copper Country, and will be missed by his many friends. Trips back to Calumet will not be the same.

Gertrude Honkala Brooks was my mother's cousin.. I'm sorry to hear of her passing.

Hunters Point is in Copper Harbor. If you drive to the marina and where they have the boat to tour the lighthouse, you will see a sign to the left "Hunters Point" and it is fenced in. There is an opening and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Copper Harbor. Its a nice walk and there is a trail.

To my Father...James Donald Easterling. He died with dignity thanks to my Mother. He would have loved this photo.
