Before sunrise this morning I had a windy jog with Casey through the deserted streets of Eagle River. Quite a roar crossing the foot bridge at the falls. More rain overnight, and it's rapidly turning colder. The dog and my ski jacket were wet by the time we reached the court house. I pulled the stocking cap tighter over my ears as we turned around.

Casey was in a hurry to get home, running ahead of me back across town, inside where it's nice and warm. But just look out over the dunes... The rain has turned into snow.

Nasty weather here in East Lansing as well...7pm last night we had a tornado go through..Lots of trees down , Power was out here for about 7 hours! We went for 70 degrees yesterday to a windchill of 16 today...Wow what a difference a day makes!
Well Hope the weather in my hometown of Calumet is a bit calmer than it was here..A little snow is expected by late October I guess~

Gee, 3 pictures that should be WoWs this week already! (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.) Can I lobby for some bonus wallpaper? I sure miss the color up there. Here in Denver, the leaves were just turning color when we got 2 days of high winds that blew them all away.

Us trolls down here can't wait to roam those woods up there. Bring on the snow!!! Pastys rule!!! Deer camp is the best place to be in the U.P.

It's now been about 3 years since I've last been able to enjoy the UP, but with pictures like those posted here daily, I'll always remember. Out here in Hawaii, the weather is hot, but I'd prefer to be back in Michigan.(originally from Grand Rapids)
