Unless you are into boating on the Portage Canal, you've probably not seen Houghton from this point of view, among the slips at Hancock Marina. In the distance, to the left of the mast looks like Houghton County Courthouse.

We go to the UP for about a month or more every summer. I really enjoy the water and travel the portage river quit a few times with our boat. We tie up to several docks in Houghton/Hancock and enjoy the area. It's a beautifull water way.

Im Jason Cooper, and I sent this picture in. We had a wonderful sail through the canal and into Portage Lake. It was the most wonderful day of my summer vacation, it wouldn't have been possible, if it wasn't for Jim Sanderson, the captain and owner of the sailboat.

We have some good pictures from our vacation in the Copper Country, too. We have a scanner, but how would we go about sending them to you? Do they have to be a certain size?

We visit the pasty Cam almost every day. Except when we are actually visiting the U.P. Gas prices weren't as bad as we expected.

By the way, we saw gas prices hit 1.92 for regular over the weekend. But I filled up today for 1.72.
