I just got back to LA after visiting Keweenaw and people ask me why I visit the Upper Peninsula. I explain that I had to leave Keweenaw many years ago but my heart stayed there and I must go back and visit my heart as often as I can. By walt, ohio on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 07:37 am:

Bill By Esther Lucas Tapper on Saturday, August 18, 2001 - 02:25 pm: Copper City? I lived in Laurium from 1928 thru 1941 and never heard of the place - although we passed the turn off on our way to our cottage at 5 mile point hundreds of times. Brother - Andy Lucas retired in San Diego in the 80's and moved back to the U.P. and settled in the little town of Copper City. I visit him often and wonder how I could have lived so close and never heard of it! I'm always happy when I can get back to visit family and friends. What a treasure God gave us when He created the U.P.!!!! By Brad on Sunday, August 19, 2001 - 09:09 pm:
