This afternoon we drove to Bete Grise with some friends from Florida. I would venture to guess that every state is represented this week among travelers to this region of the U.P.

We've received lots of neat photos this month, shots all around the area. This one was taken at the residence of The Kaleita's by their guest Randy Dyle from Green Bay. It captures the rugged beauty of August in the Keweenaw.

I am so looking forward to seeing scenes like this one. We are Keweenaw bound Saturday morning and I can't wait to sleep under those magnificent stars Saturday night! We're hoping to stop in and say hi to you, Charlie. Gotta go--- the trailer isn't all packed yet and cookies are in the oven!

What a feeling, eh? Keweenaw-bound:) Only five more days and I'm home!

Well I didn't get to your place this year. But at least I have a great picture from the CAM. Just came back from the Iron Range to DC, and frankly I would love to be sitting on your porch chasing flys with one of the flycatcher's from your collection.
