This picture reminds me of the winter shot of the guy who was roof sledding. Here my husband is pulling his brother waterskiing behind a 4-wheeler! They were itching to ski, but there was no boat around. They were able to go up and down this private beach.

Gotta keep amused in the 3 months where it's "tough sledding". Great picture!!

A typical yooper invention! Reminds me of the makeshift tandem bike two friends came up with 40 years ago when I lived in Mohawk. It had been a long, cold winter, and I guess that's what happens to the yooper mind.

It is in Little Traverse. I was waist deep in the water, trying to keep the camera dry, and at the same time, trying to keep clear of the rope!

Is that the Apostolic Lutheran beach?

I work with youth and I thought that I had seen it all, but this tops the list. "Where there is a will there is a way" and this proves the phrase is true. Enjoy the summer everyone.

Looks like fun. Hope that the water was warm. Nice to see you guys, when I am so far from home.

Kinda like we used to do it in Arizona. Not many lakes so we'd use the irrigation canals, and not many four-wheelers so we'd use a car. Great fun!

This does look like great fun! The cool water looks more inviting than the cold snow for skiing in the winter!

This reminds me of the times we would go right from the Sauna on the Canal Road and jump into the Portage Lake to "cool off"! Blessings!

This looks like the Big Traverse Beach, we cant keep the 4-wheelers off our beach. We put logs out to block them, and they just keep running over them. They have really become a nuisance over the past couple of years!
