That budding photographer at MTU, Takashi Aoki, surprised me again with an email box full of flowers.

The growing season has hit its stride just in time for July 4th celebrations. Black flies aren't too bad, even the tent caterpillars seem to have subsided. Does anybody know if the "Larium Glacier" has finally disappeared?

WOW! Great work Takashi, beautiful shot. Anyone know what kind of flowers these are? Keep bringing us more of the beauty of the Keweenaw. Thanks again.

According to John Dee's Snow Journal the Laurium glacier disappeared around May 18.
