Much of the Eastern U.S. today is in the grip of another crippling snow storm. This morning, the work-week began with blinding flurries here in the Keweenaw. We even wondered whether we should send out today's mountain of pasty orders, what with weather-related air traffic delays. But as the day ended, the skies began clearing. There was even a pleasant streak of red on the horizon as I arrived back in Eagle River this evening. A few miles up the shore from here, Steve Brimm took aim on a similar scene. Can Spring be far behind?

Oh... not to worry... we did send those pasties on their way.

We are leaving in the morning for a week long visit to LacLaBelle. If I get a picture anything like this while I'm visiting I will be thrilled! After looking at all the pictures on the Pasty Cam, I can't wait to get to the beautiful peaceful Keweenaw.
