Our congratulations to Calumet High School for earning the right to represent the Copper Country in this year's state-level competition. Early on in the game with the Hancock Bulldogs, it looked like the Kings would be de-throned, but the depth and strength of this fine team brought them out on top.

Good luck in Gaylord and Flint - and all the way to the State final.

Being a 1996 graduate of Calumet High School....and remembering the back to back Championships that they took they had a Awesome team then and sounds like a force to be reconed with now...

Unfortunately for me I was rooting for the Bulldogs in that game, but from the play-by-play on the radio it sounded like the Copper Kings really played well. Congratulations to them & even though they beat my team, I wish them the best the rest of the way & hope they show them downstate teams how the game's supposed to be played. Go Kings!
