We've been bringing you the Pasty Cam long enough to lose track of all the things we've presented before. I vaguely remember seeing Big Traverse Bay, and specifically the channel area, on a previous Cam shot - perhaps in the Spring or Fall. This spot looks alot like the channel at Bete Grise, so perhaps I'm confusing the two.

If you know offhand where we can find it in the archives, please let me know. Thanks to Daryl Laitila who grabbed this shot.

It's not a familiar shot to me, and I have saved most of the shots over the years in a directory I created for your many beautiful and often familiar scenes I named UPMICH. They make a beautiful slide show (The next best thing to actually being there).

For anyone interested it the picture Charlie is referring to was taken on March 19 of last year.

That second picture was taken at sunrise in early September 2000. My favorite fishing spot---about 2 miles out. I launched there over 30 times last year and never got skunked! I love the Copper Country!

Sure love seeing this picture! The house across the harbor is my uncle's home. My summer cottage is to the left (North East) about 3,4 tenths of a mile called the Temlak. Its on the shore side of the road, third cottage on left (going South West) after the road bends to go to the harbor. It has a spotted fire place chimney Never been able to get there in the winter. If anyone heads that way for another shot of Big Traveres, it would do my heart/soul good to see my favorite spot on earth. Randy Laakko

You will find it very informative. We would love to have and 8 x 10 of your picture for future reference. The house belongs to my Uncle Reino and he and my father were commercial fishermen for over 60 years from that location.

Nancy, me and my grandfather go out fishing with your father in the summers! He has showed us alot about fishing out there on the Big Lake, and the museum is great!
